PrivaTree Guarantee
We take great pride in providing you with healthy, high-quality trees—freshly dug, farm-direct, and never from old or dated batches. Similar to a nursery or garden center, we cannot outright guarantee living plant material once it has been delivered or installed. Trees are living products, and their long-term success depends on proper care, including adequate watering, sunlight, soil conditions, drainage, weather, and overall environment, all of which are beyond our control after installation.
That said, we stand by the quality of our trees and always strive to do the right thing. In the rare event of an unusual situation, we will handle it professionally and work with you to find a fair and reasonable solution, which may include replacements, discounts, or credits, as appropriate. Our goal is to ensure you have the best possible experience and success with your trees.
Optional Extended Care Guarantee (Installation Required)
For customers who choose PrivaTree professional installation, we offer an Optional Extended Care Guarantee for an additional 15% of the tree purchase price, providing coverage for six (6) months from the date of installation.
This guarantee is available only for trees installed by PrivaTree, as proper planting depth, spacing, backfill, and handling are critical to long-term success and cannot be verified when installation is performed by others.
Many full-service landscaping companies include a warranty by charging two to three times the material cost to account for replacement risk, labor, and overhead. By sourcing directly from the farm and operating as a wholesale provider, we offer customers the option to purchase a limited guarantee without incurring that higher markup. For hardy, well-established varieties, we believe this approach is both fair and cost-effective in the rare event an issue arises.
Customer Responsibilities
To remain eligible for any guarantee consideration, customers must:
- Water trees consistently and adequately in accordance with PrivaTree’s guidelines
- Ensure proper soil conditions and drainage
- Provide appropriate sunlight for the selected material
- Avoid mechanical damage, salt exposure, chemical burn, or disturbance after installation
- Notify PrivaTree promptly if a tree shows signs of stress or decline
Failure to meet these responsibilities voids any guarantee coverage.
Guarantee Coverage
If a tree covered under the Extended Care Guarantee fails within the coverage period despite proper care, PrivaTree will, at its discretion:
- Replace the tree one time, or
- Issue a store credit equal to the original tree purchase price
Delivery, installation, removal, and labor are not included unless explicitly stated in writing.
